MindCraft’s video for award-winning start-up Oily Rag® was part of a bid by this innovative  company  to win an award from Barclays Bank.

It showcases the very best of British – a promotional video about Oily Rag Ltd and their unique, truly waterproof outdoor cushions.

Shot and edited in a single day the video is a chance for Oily Rag’s director Julia Hunter to explain to potential buyers why her product is different and really show it off in a beautiful garden setting.

Julia said: “It was great fun working with the MindCraft team. Everything was scripted in advance which made filming very straightforward. It was also great having experts help me through not only the filming but also the actual presentation to camera which I hadn’t done before.

“The video is a vital tool in our comptition entry and by far the best way to show off what Oily Rag is all about. I really enjoyed the whole experience, the MindCraft team was very professional, but not at all intimidating…I would definitely recommend them.”

This is MindCraft’s latest video for a respected firm of lawyers in central England.

It was one of two videos shot in a single day by the MindCraft crew and used the legal firm’s own staff to get their message out about a new service to their customers.

MindCraft was commissioned by the firm’s brand designer Yellobelly as part of a new website and rebrand programme. We crafted a tight script in advance of the filming day and as a result the filming and editing process was as efficient ad cost effective as possible for our client.

Our producer was able to help train the presenters who had never worked with cameras before get their message across to their viewers.

Yellobelly’s Creative Director Peter Hilton said afterwards: “Thank you for making the filming so personable and straightforward.”

Global customers can see machines at work

This is a classic example of what video can do to show off a product in action in a complex hi-tech industry.

MindCraft was asked to produce a series of eight videos as part of a website relaunch for a great British manufacturing firm, RK Print Ltd, which specialises in designing and engineering machines for the print industry.

With clients around the world from Unilever to Tetrapak it was vital the video showed precisely what each machine had to offer.

Working with only a small crew and using the latest industry software to edit, each video was designed to be succinct, easy to understand and to make it easy for potential customers to see the products operating – wherever they are in the world.

This video was just one of the series and will not only sit on their new website but will also be used at trade fairs around the world.

This video was a great way for MindCraft to show what a video on a website can offer for event coverage. It is great for those who couldn’t attend, and an excellent way for event organisers to show them what they missed. Shot is just a few hours, our client was delighted.

MindCraft’s video of the first business exhibition staged by Suffolk based Menta, a not-for-profit organisation which provides advice, support and training for those in business.

Staged in the glorious surroundings of Ickworth House hundreds of delegates attended the event showcasing the wares and talents of a host of different businesses.

 MindCraft was delighted to be not only among the standholders but also to be asked to record the event in a newsreel style for the Menta website.

MindCraft has been delighted to help CHAI – the Centre for Healthcare Associated Infections. Working with actress Leslie Ash, now starring in Holby City, we have produced a film to promote a £1.4 million fund-rasing appeal to boost research into deadly infections like MRSA.

Former Men Behaving Badly star Leslie, who was left disabled after contracting a strain of MRSA, said:

”I would urge everyone to support the appeal, no matter how small or large their donation, to fight these killer infections.”

The film will be used to promote the appeal at the University of Nottingham and as researchers present their pioneering work at conferences worldwide.

Sarah and her team draw on a long history working in the broadcast media to produce short films – this one was shot and editted in only one day – with good planning yours could be too.

This video for the Women-on-Top group uses minimal script and voice-over, shot in just three hours, explaining how the networking membership group works. Short videos can give a vibrant flavour of a real event taking place, and explain in the words of their members and leaders what they are all about. Well produced films can help to build trust in  your brand so much more easily than words and still pictures alone.

MindCraft’s video shows clearly how they stand out in a modern world dominated by mass manufacturing and portrays far better than still pictures alone the company’s past, present and future emphasis on Britishness and quality.

A day at the Cambridge Busking Festival filmed and edited to promote Cambridge City Council’s annual street performers event.

No sound track here – The music was live, the audiences loved it, the talent came from far afield. As a video it took only a few hours to film – unscripted, unrehearsed, we went with what we had on the day, then undertook  a detailed musical edit to make sure the shots and music worked well together.

The result in lively and fun and moves along apace.
