This half day session run in conjuction with Suffolk enterprise agency Menta will give you some easy guidelines on the benefits of putting in some time to win awards and some tips on basic principles to get you started. It will offer some Dos and some Don’ts to help you out and tell you how to proceed after you have won.

By the end of the session you already be drafting your first entry.

The workshop is led by MindCraft’s Sarah Walker, who is an award-winning experienced broadcast journalist and corporate communications specialist.

MindCraft’s video for award-winning start-up Oily Rag® was part of a bid by this innovative  company  to win an award from Barclays Bank.

It showcases the very best of British – a promotional video about Oily Rag Ltd and their unique, truly waterproof outdoor cushions.

Shot and edited in a single day the video is a chance for Oily Rag’s director Julia Hunter to explain to potential buyers why her product is different and really show it off in a beautiful garden setting.

Julia said: “It was great fun working with the MindCraft team. Everything was scripted in advance which made filming very straightforward. It was also great having experts help me through not only the filming but also the actual presentation to camera which I hadn’t done before.

“The video is a vital tool in our comptition entry and by far the best way to show off what Oily Rag is all about. I really enjoyed the whole experience, the MindCraft team was very professional, but not at all intimidating…I would definitely recommend them.”

MindCraft’s new extranet site for all its clients is up and running.

The site gives MindCraft’s video customers secure access to view the draft edits of their films, while training course delegates can view and download all the videos from their workshops as well as course literature in a single secure location.

Delegates from our training courses can now simply login to the delegates forum on the MindCraft website with their unique password and go to the page which contains their recorded videos of presentations and media interviews.

Video clients are able to see the first and final cuts of their project as soon as our picture editors have uploaded them. They can immediately document any changes they need, thus speeding up the whole process.

MindCraft’s video crews have been brought in to help launch an upmarket TV channel for a series of nationwide estate agents by quality media publishers Cream.

MindCraft camera crews have produced nine videos for Cream to launch the online TV service of their clients, estate agents Featherstone Leigh in London.

Cream Editor Gail Powell, said: “We have been really pleased to have MindCraft handling this project. It has made such a difference having the confidence they are going to produce well-shot and edited videos.”

MindCraft video producer Sarah Walker: “We are really hoping this is going to be the beginning of a great long term working relationship with Cream which we see as a very visionary and exciting company.”

Cream has now commissioned MindCraft to produce a further series of around 30 videos for more clients around the country.

This is MindCraft’s latest video for a respected firm of lawyers in central England.

It was one of two videos shot in a single day by the MindCraft crew and used the legal firm’s own staff to get their message out about a new service to their customers.

MindCraft was commissioned by the firm’s brand designer Yellobelly as part of a new website and rebrand programme. We crafted a tight script in advance of the filming day and as a result the filming and editing process was as efficient ad cost effective as possible for our client.

Our producer was able to help train the presenters who had never worked with cameras before get their message across to their viewers.

Yellobelly’s Creative Director Peter Hilton said afterwards: “Thank you for making the filming so personable and straightforward.”

Global customers can see machines at work

This is a classic example of what video can do to show off a product in action in a complex hi-tech industry.

MindCraft was asked to produce a series of eight videos as part of a website relaunch for a great British manufacturing firm, RK Print Ltd, which specialises in designing and engineering machines for the print industry.

With clients around the world from Unilever to Tetrapak it was vital the video showed precisely what each machine had to offer.

Working with only a small crew and using the latest industry software to edit, each video was designed to be succinct, easy to understand and to make it easy for potential customers to see the products operating – wherever they are in the world.

This video was just one of the series and will not only sit on their new website but will also be used at trade fairs around the world.

Training

Our media experts have been working with delegates from the public sector to help them manage their relationship with the media. We have also taken part in high level training for the Metropolitan Police, providing expert guidance on media interview technique.
